We started on our road to quality early education upon entering the Keystone STARS program in 2004. In 2007, we became a STAR 3 facility, and by that time, we had an established preschool program.
In 2011, we achieved our STAR 4 rating and expanded our preschool program to three levels: Primary Pre-School (age 3), Intermediate Pre-School (age 4), and Pre-K (for children eligible for kindergarten the following school year). That same year, we began using The Creative Curriculum, The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos, and Teaching Strategies Gold, all of which align with the PA Early Learning Standards.
We became licensed in 2015 as a Pennsylvania Department of Education Private Academic Preschool and opened our Pre-K Counts classroom in early 2016 and our second in 2022. Today, we continue to provide outstanding infant and toddler care, as well as our preschool programs. Our infant and toddler care program is divided into five different age-based levels. This structure ensures that children grow and learn within their peer group and continue progressing with the same group throughout their early childhood years.

Our mission is quite simple. Busy Little Beavers is committed to providing learning experiences that prepare each child for success and school readiness in a warm and caring atmosphere. We create a learning environment that supports children in developing the skills necessary to construct their own knowledge and transition seamlessly into their next school setting.
That being said, our vision builds upon our mission. Guided by high expectations and the understanding that all children learn at different levels and rates, we provide developmentally appropriate activities that enrich children’s abilities in literacy and language, cognitive development, social-emotional skills, physical development, science, social studies, mathematics, and creative arts.
Children will thrive in a safe and nurturing environment where they learn to solve problems and express their feelings through words and other creative outlets. They will also be exposed to diverse cultural experiences.
Parents are an integral part of the educational process. In recognition of this important role, we actively seek, encourage, and welcome parent involvement. With this strong foundation, children will enter kindergarten equipped with the skills to promote lifelong learning.
